- Well everyone is supposed to make the trip at least once in their life but why do you need gold and glory?
- Travelers wanted to go on adventures for God, gold, and glory. Gold was something that everyone wanted and it was pretty rare. People wanted glory so that everybody knew them.
- What for?
- Mom I want to go on a trip across the sea just like dad did.
- I want gold to help you and dad do parenting stuff but glory just sounds like a good deal to me.
- I want to go for God, gold, and glory.
- Bye son, watch out for sea monsters and don´t fall off the edge of the world!
- There were many fears of traveling including sea monster and falling off the edge of the world. They used different tools so that they knew what was happening.
- Bye mom, Bye Dad. I will. Stay safe while I am gone.
- Don´t forget to use your compass so that you know what wayyou´re going. Use your clock so you know what time it is.
- The fear of having enough food and water was great. If they didn´t have enough food and/or water they would die.
- Me too. I hope he brought enough food and water with him. I also forgot to remind him how to go against the wind with his ship.
- I miss our son it is so quiet here without him.
