  • I take thee at thy word.Call me but love, and I’ll be new baptized.Henceforth I never will be Romeo.
  • O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo?
  • Act 2 Scene 5
  • Then hie you hence to Friar Lawrence’s cell.There stays a husband to make you a wife.
  • Hie to high fortune! Honest Nurse, farewell.
  • Act 2 Scene 6
  • My true love is grown to such excess I cannot sum up sum of half my wealth. 
  • So smile the heavens upon this holy act That after-hours with sorrow chide us not.
  • Romeo risks his life and decides to stay at the Capulets house in hopes of seeing Juliet. Romeo begins talking about his love for Juliet while Juliet heads outside to her balcony where she also confesses her love to Romeo. This moment pushes the story along because Romeo and Juliet's love is now growing rapidly.
  • Juliet is worried about the nurse because she still hasn't come back with the details of Romeos meeting. The nurse returns to Juliet but is slow in giving her the actual details. Eventually the nurse reveals to Juliet that Romeo is waiting for her in Friar Lawrence's cell. This moment pushes the plot along because it sets up Romeo and Juliet's marriage.
  • Romeo and Juliet meet with Friar Lawrence in his cell. The two want to be married and Friar Lawrence suggests they do it as soon as possible. Romeo and Juliet are married by the end of this scene. This moment pushes the plot along because it marks the officialness of their undying love.
