Its just a ball, Hussein. You're not there anymore, just here.
At the start of the text, Hussein is seen as scary and mysterious, as he still has a lot of his past traumatising him and keeping him in the darkness, as his clothing choice highlights. I have used bright colors on Pearl and Bruce to show the difference in personality between them. it highlights Pearl and Bruces confiedence in themselves as normal children, compared to Hussein.
This frame shows the first time someone realises that Hussein is what he seems. He is happy and surprised to see the growth of the plants, as pearl sees the growth in him since frame 2. It also shows pearl and suzy together happy in bright colours. Hussein has now had his first sight of the light at the end of the tunnel.
Hussein is starting to feel like he fits in, when his past comes back to haunt him. I used the colour red of the roses as a reminder of the blood and his past. Bruce is confused and concerned when Hussein tucks into a ´tight ball'.
Pearls sister suzy dies and Hussein comforts her like he´d 'done it all before'. Their friendship grows and they sit together for a couple of days . The choice of clothing colour shows The improvement in Hussein and the sadness of pearl. They eventually invite the others back into the group. Hussein has grown more confident in himself socially and mentally.
This frame shows the developement and growth of Hussein throughout the text, and the adjustment to Hussein from Pearl and bruce. They all in bright colours to representthe happiness and friendship between the three.
