Storyboard Juliek's violin

Storyboard Text

  • Music soothing the soul when concentrated or trying to calm yourself through loud or tough times.
  • Jews would be trying to play music that could be loosened to be how they are but Germans had enough of it and started to threaten them of their life to stop playing German music.
  • Stop with that music or you will be killed in an instant! Jews cannot play German music!
  • I told you this would happen!
  • The Nazis killing Juliek and breaking his violin showing cruelty and no empathy for anything. They didn't care a single bit.
  • "All I could do was follow the movements of his lips. I barely understood what he was telling me, but the inflection of his voice soothed me." Bottom of Page 79
  • "He complained that they would not let him play Beethoven; Jews were not allowed to play German music." Page 49
  • The darkness enveloped us. All I could hear was the violin, and it was as if Juliek's soul had become his bow. He was playing his life. His whole being was gliding over the strings. His unfulfilled hopes. His charred past, his extinguished future. He played that which he would never play again. Page 95
