- Hades gave persephone jewelry, gifts, and lots of food, but Persephone refused to eat anything.
- When Zeus's messenger went to Hades telling him Zeus demands that he return Persephone to Demeter, he agreed and gave Persephone 6 pomegranate which she ate all on her way back to the surface
- Anything eaten in Tartarus while you're there, you must return to Hades, but Zeus said Persephone will stay there as the same amount of seeds she ate, so she was gone for six months and home for six months.
- When Persephone told her mother Demeter about how she ate the 6 pomegranate seeds she burst in to tears knowing Persephone would have to return to Hades.
- When Persephone is with Demeter it is spring and summer and everything grows.
- The End
- When Persephone is gone and with Hades it turns to fall and winter, the plants start to die because of the cold weather.
