  • Global warming is warning us through sea level rising and icecaps melting.
  • Two major causes of global sea level rise are thermal expansion caused by warming of the ocean and increased melting of land-based ice, such as glaciers and ice sheets.
  • What are the causes of sea level rise?
  • As sea level goes higher it can cause destructive erosion, wetland flooding, aquifer and agricultural soil contamination, and lost habitat for fish, birds, and plants
  • What problems will sea level rise bring to the world?
  • So, what rate does the sea level rise?
  • Sea level continues to rise at a rate of about one-eighth of an inch per year.
  • Oceans by 2100 will  to rise between 11 and 38 inches (28 to 98 centimeters)
