Storyboard Text

  • One night I was talking with my parents before I went to bed. At the time, I was very passionate about helping out the less fortunate and wanted to do something about it. So we stared brainstorming ideas.
  • Try to think of something that can have a huge impact on the less fortunate.
  • How about a sports clothes drive!
  • Then, after a while of discussing, we finally came up with an idea. Since we were going to India in the coming winter, we thought we could do something with an orphanage there. Then the idea finalized.
  • That sounds like it could work. Talk to your teacher about it.
  • What about getting used clothes from the kids in my class, and we can deliver it to an orphange in Inida?
  • The next day I went to school and talked to my teacher about my idea and she loved the idea. She also told me that I could talk to the principle and see if he could make this a middle school-wide fundraiser.
  • That sounds great! So glad that you want to do this. Why don't you talk to Mr. Ward-Doran about making this a middle school fundraiser
  • I want to start a fundraiser that collects used clothes from the kids in my class so that I could deliver it to an orphanage in India.
  • Later that day, I went to speak with my principal about the idea and he loved it! He said that tomorrow I would give a speech in front of the entire middle school about what my initiative was.
  • Sounds great!
  • I want to start a fundraiser that collects used clothes from the kids in my class so that I could deliver it to an orphanage in India.
  • The next day, I was in the Artsplex giving a speech to the middle school about my initiative (couldn't find something like the Artsplex). I gave them an overview of my goal, and what I needed from them.
  • I want to start a fundraiser that collects used clothes from the kids in my class so that I could deliver it to an orphanage in India. I need you all to bring in old clothing that is still wearable. Bring as much as you can.
  • By the time the fundraiser had ended, we had so many bags filled with clothes. It was later observed that we had over 200 pounds of clothing that we would be able to bring to the orphanage in India.
