  • A Sail Through Time
  • It was the day of Christmas Eve. James' bed was shaking uncontrollably with a  pillow even flying off his bed. All of a sudden, a figure appeared in his room. James could not believe his eyes. He rubbed his eyes with his hands multiple times, but the figure was still there. It was his old sailing coach, Robert. Robert was there to warn James about the Three Spirits coming. They were coming for James because all James cared about was sailing and winning competitions. James thought of nothing else, not even his family. He even hated Christmas.James was now a sailing coach himself, and he had a student named Molly. He was a hard-core coach and pushed Molly past her limits. Robert explained that because of Jame's terrible ways he must change and the Three Spirits will help him.
  • "You will be haunted by Three Spirits."
  • "I- I think I'd rather not."
  • "Your lip is trembling. And what is that upon your cheek?"
  • A ghost came to James named the Ghost of Christmas Past. The ghost had magically transported James back in time to past Christmases. James was by himself at one of the Christmases. He was at the ocean where he practiced sailing. It made James begin to get a little emotional and a tear fell. He enjoyed seeing the memory of him as a child. Although, he was by himself on Christmas as a kid.
  • "Good Heaven! I was bred in this place, I was a boy here!"
  • The Ghost of Christmas Present came the next day. The ghost took him to his sailing student's house. Her family was celebrating Christmas. Molly's family was poor due to Jame's being an expensive sailing coach. James was the best coach in town, but treated Molly poorly. All he cared about was her winning and not her as a person. Any money she made from sailing went towards paying James. James didn't even need money because he was already wealthy. Molly had a brother named Lucas, who was sick due to getting hit by a car. The Spirit explained to James that Lucas would not survive ,and James was deeply upset.
  • "Spirit, tell me if Lucas will live."
  • "I see a vacant seat. If these shadows remain unaltered by the future, the child will die."
  • The last Spirit was called the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. The phantom had taken James many places all over town. Everyone seem to be talking about someone's death, but nobody cared for the person because the person was mean and selfish. The phantom took James to Molly's house to learn that Lucas has passed away. Then, the phantom took James to a graveyard. He realized he was the person who had died. James had learned his lesson and wanted to celebrate Christmas and help people in need.
  • "Spirit, hear me! I am not the man I was. I will not be the man I must have been for this intercourse."
  • "I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all year."
  • James Smith January 8th 1950- December 25 2018
  • James was a different man that Christmas morning. He visited Molly's house and explained that he is lowering his price to coach Molly. She now has to pay him next to nothing for him to coach her. James also brought over a chicken and lots of desserts for her family. Then, James went to his own family's Christmas celebration. His family was shocked, but happily let him in. James had a wonderful Christmas and loves to help out others all thanks to the Spirits.
  • "It's I. Your uncle James. I have come to dinner."
  • "Why, bless my soul! Who's that?"
