  • War it is!
  • War Hawks
  • We need to unite the Native Americans.
  • Tecumseh
  • We, also, need to follow our traditions.
  • Tenskwatawa
  • The Native Americans
  • Ok guys! We need a spiritual rebirth of the Native American culture.
  • The War Hawks, as their opponents called them, were the ones that wanted war. They were from the south and west. They wanted war because they thought The British made the Native Americans fighting them.
  • I need to stop Tecumseh's movement. They are getting too strong.
  • As a result of the conflict with the Americans, Tecumseh thought that the Native Americans should unite, but Tenskwatawa disagreed. He though that the Natives should just follow their culture.
  • Tippecanoe and his followers wanted a spiritual rebirth of all the Native American cultures.

  • Battle of Lake Champlain
  • William Henry Harrison, the governor of Indiana, heard about Tecumseh's movement and wanted to stop it.

  • At the Battle of Tippecanoe, Tenskwatawa attacked first and killed many of the men of Harrison.
  • Battle of Tippecanoe
  • After many battles with the British, came the Battle of Lake Champlain. This was a battle for the lake because it gave the Americans  many advantages against the British. The Americans won.
