- In the economy, men had jobs, Their jobs consisded of farming, shiping industry, iron works, and being a colonist. Another fact is New England created the barrel.
- People made decisions and rules concerning the business of the town. They elected government officials and passed local laws. They also set taxes and spent money on schools and public improvements.
- Anne Hutchinson was famous as one of the early colonists of the Massachusetts Colony who was banished from Boston in 1637 for her religious and feminist beliefs. She believed that there should be free religion and that government should stay out of religion.
