Describing the Infancy Narratives.

Storyboard Text

  • Hello! My name is Tommy and I'm going to talk about the infancy narratives.
  • When Elizabeth was pregnant for six months, God sent down an angel, known as Gabriel, to Nazareth. God sent Gabriel to a virgin married to Joseph named Mary.
  • Luke 1:26-28
  • "Greetings, you who are highly are favored! The Lord is with you."
  • This is how the birth of Jesus came about. Mary was ready to marry Joseph, before they were together Mary was already pregnant through the Holy Spirit.
  • Matthew 1:18-25
  • Luke 1:36, 39-56
  • Joseph was always faithful to the law but was thinking about to divorce Mary quietly.
  • All this took place to fulfill what the lord had said through the Prophet. "The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Emmanuel."
  • After Joseph thought about this an Angel appeared to Joseph
  • "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."
  • When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel said and took Mary as his wife. He didn't marry Mary until she gave birth to the son and named him Jesus.
  • Mary got ready and hurried to a town in Judea, and she entered Zechariah's home and Hello to Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard about Mary's baby she was excited.
  • "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bare! But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed is she who had believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!"
