  • Data Collection Room 10th grade
  • Tom, Jerry, what were you results ?
  • 65% of kids prefer chairs over desks

  • Data Collection Room 10th grade
  • Hey guys, where did your data from?
  • I got my data from friends in the school
  • WHY?!
  • I got my data from the entire 10th grade students
  • Data Collection Room 10th grade
  • You guys have to have the data from every single student in the school.
  • Sorry about the error, but i'm not doing the survey again
  • I'm done with this class, see you losers!
  • Okay, can we find a different thing we can survey to people
  • Hey guys, so the class went well.  Anyway, the mishap in the data is an example of volenteer bias.
  • Volunteer bias is when you use volunteers [in this case people] for your research, thier's going to be volunteer that will be happy of join, but other people might not care and don't volunteer, so it messes up the data.
