Storyboard Text

  • This story centers around our main characters John and Richard and their journey of learning how to seize the day.
  • Richard my man, you just gotta relax and shoot your shot.
  • But the timings never right, I just gotta wait for that perfect moment you know?
  • You'll never get anywhere with that mindset dude, you just gotta do it. It's like you never heard of The Flea by John Donne or something.
  • The Flea, by John Donne, is a poem which fixates itself upon the idea of seizing the day. The story follows a male character's attempt of seducing a women with the supportive usage of a flea. Using the flea, the characters creates a "logical, albeit specious, argument" all in the pursuit of a virgin's maidenhood (Low).Even though the character uses "flawed logic [in an attempt] to convince virgins to engage in sex," he ultimately fails in his quest (Brackett). Despite this fact, it isn't the end result that necessarily counts, but it the very attempt to do so that matters.
