- The trail of tears occurs (1838) to (1839) the Cherokee were rounded up until October of the year 1838 then the jury to Oklahoma through the years 1838 to 18 3917 detachments traveled about 1000 miles by wagons, steamboat and foot of none of the Native Americans had prepared for their journey in the winter, of the Native Americans had to fight, starvation, harsh winter conditions, racist violence, and disease
- Trail of Tears Occurs (1830) A lot of white settlers wanted to take the Cherokee land in Georgia for years to farm and for access to the river, so they started pressuring, the federal government to take the Natives out of their land. In the year of 1829 Gold was found in their land which made it more valuable, so the pressuring continued to happen. Then in the year 1830, Andrew Jackson and the federal government signed the Indian removal act to finally remove the Natives
