--And that's it for today, I'll see you again next week!
MAAM! May I ask you a question?
Oh I see, come here.
Yes, what is it Jomar?
Thanks for the past weeks, but uhm, why are you doing this?
after a while...
Actually, this is a part of my NSTP-LTS program wherein I teach kids who have some "difficulties" but want to learn. I want to teach children like you because I was inspired by my mentor in the past to help others with a heart.
And also, I love your smiles, laughter and excitement to learn.
Oh Maam thank you! It's just that all of us kids here love you!
How sweet! You know what, let me tell you more about the NSTP.
The Literacy Training Service or LTS is not the only one in the National Service Training Program or NSTP.
While we teach, the others train to become like soldiers under the Reserve Officers' Training Corps or ROTC.
Meanwhile, most of my friends are under the CWTS or the Civic Welfare Training Service who help communities in their certain needs.
Woah! You are everywhere!
With the programs, we also get to hone our character.
We develop our social awareness, discipline, teamwork and critical thinking!
And most importantly, it made me adore volunteering. Especially in something that I love.
