Storyboard Text

  • The boy is in the ocean at an angle of 35 degrees from us. We are 28 feet above the ground.
  • We need to figure out how far the boy is, so we need to use 28/tan(35). We are approx, 40ft from the boy. Before rescuing the boy, it wouldn't be bad to find out how fast the helicopters blades are moving, so we can ensure a safe landing. One blade is 12ft, and rotates around 500rpm.
  • We need to check the height of the waves to see how low we can fly.
  • To find out how fast the blades are moving, we need to use the formula 2π(12)(500), and we can figure out that the blades travel 37699ft/min
