  • The Bahraini base continues the flow of oil to the west.  It protects the intrests of the U.S in the M.E. 
  • Yes the vital ways Suez canal and Strait of Hormuz are there. This base is vital for the war. 
  • British and American Oil companies plan to use the Aramo-Style oil plan for Bahrain. 
  • That's going to effect our economy when it starts in June 1951. 
  • The U.S was against communism after the Cold War, making them our ally.
  • That means they will support our democratic aspirations in Bahrain.
  • The U.S. had naval presence in Bahrain. It made us be a target for the Soviet Union.
  • The Military in our country not only impacts us, but impacts Iraq and Afghanistan. 
  • The U.S and Soviet Union made a Foreign Policy after the cold war.
  • It put bases in Bahrain giving the U.S. an enviable position in the M.E. They should have know its going to effect us.
