The Quartering Act is a law where us colonists were required to let British soldiers into their homes and provide things such as candles, firing and bedding. I think that this is unfair because providing for the soldiers cost money. They take up space and do nothing. I believe that I should have the freedom of living with people of who I choose and have the freedom of privacy.
I think that the Townshend Act is very unfair. Parliament approved a new unfair law that meant the we had to pay extra taxes for certain imported goods from Great Britain, and all of them happen to be extremely popular and used very often by the colonists. The goods consist of products such as glass, paint, paper, and tea. I think that it is unfair that the British are putting extra taxes on the products that we use the most!
Townshend Act, 1767
The British Government had repealed most of the unfair taxes, but a riot broke out between British soldiers and colonists. The British soldiers shot 5 colonists dead! They were even told not to fire, but they did anyway. This is unfair because the colonists didn't have any weapons that could kill the British soldiers, they were unarmed with guns.
Boston Massacre, 1770
The Intolerable Act is the last act that leads up to the Revolution. This act consists of 2 new laws. Law 1-close Boston Harbor for trade. This makes me mad because there are products that are imported from Britain that I use in my life every day! Law 2-took away self-governing democratic rights of Massachusetts colony. We have been having little governments within our colonies for a very long time, it is unfair for the British to take it away all of a sudden. These new, harsh laws pushed us into rebelling and it led our colonies to unite together.
