A crow, as black as coal needed his thirst quenched. So as a result he would go to his favorite lake every day.
One fateful day he saw something magnificent, glorious, and majestic. He saw a beautiful pink flamingo. This was unlike any other animal he had ever seen before so he was naturally confused and curious. He urgently envied the pink coat and desired it for himself. He looked back at himself to see an ugly, small, hideous creature.
The foolish crow took this to heart and thought that if he lived his life like a flamingo, then he would get pink feathers like him too. So as the weeks passed on he did exactly what the flamingo did and eventually started to grow skinny from the lack of food he was consuming. The months passed on and a new season arrived. The crow was food deprived.
But as the days went on he started to notice more and more animals every time, ugly ones, and ones that looked like him but none were beautiful.
The next day he knew he needed to talk to the flamingo to see the secret to his feathers. When he laid his eyes upon the majestic animal he could not hold back and went and asked him how to get such majestic feather.
“I do not know"
Excuse me for asking kind sir but where have you gotten those feathers from?”
The next morning he didn't wake up but died peacefully in his sleep. He could have lived a long life if it wasn't for his envy. In the end the animals at that pond learned a very important lesson, which was to be proud of yourself and do not try to be someone you are not by letting jealousy take you over.
