Exposition: Rainsford and Whitney are traveling in a yacht on their way to go hunt jaguars. They get into an argument whether the quarry being hunted has feelings or not. Rainsford says they don't but Whitney says they do

Rising Action: Rainsford hears gunshots in the distance and falls into the water. He swims to the island and meets General Zaroff. He finds out that Zaroff doesn't hunt animals, he hunts humans. Zaroff either wants him to hunt humans with him or be hunted. He chooses to be hunted.
I Finally defeated that brat.
Climax: Rainsford survives in the jungle for days without getting killed by Zaroff. He jumps off of a cliff to escape without dying. Then, he hides in Zaroff's bedroom and waits for him so he can finally end things.
Falling Action: Zaroff gets the hint that Rainsford wants to get revenge. He threatens Rainsford but he refuses to lose to him.
Resolution: Finally, Rainsford kills Zaroff and now he will find a way to leave the island and get home.
Internal Conflict- Man vs. Himself: Rainsford struggles in his own mind whether he could kill or not. External Conflict- Man vs. Man: Rainsford and Zaroff are hunting each other for survival.
