  • Amendment One
  • In my newspaper, I'm going to write about how a group of people agreed that the government is being too harsh.
  • Amendment Two
  • I feel much safer now that the government is letting us keep weapons and create an army.
  • Amendment Three
  • The government is going to pay for you to leave because it is wartime and we need your house.
  • You are not permitted to stay in my house!
  • Congress can’t make laws that limit freedom of speech, the press, the right for the people to gather, and the right to complain about the government.
  • Amendment Four
  • You are not allowed to search me or my house.
  • I demand another trial so that I can prove him guilty.
  • Congress can’t make laws that contradict the right that people can own weapons and that the states can create a militia.
  • Amendment Five
  • This citizen has been proven innocent by the court.
  • The people don’t have to quarter the soldiers during peacetime, but during a war, the government can buy their property and use it for the soldiers.

  • People have the right to a fair trial with witnesses that can be in their favor and have a defense team.
