It can be caused by smoking (which is the most common), radon gas, asbestos, and it can be genetic.
But I've only had a cough. Surely such a small thing couldn't mean cancer.
Coughing, shortness of breath, fluid in chest, and chest pain are all symptoms.

What are some treatment options I can have?
Well it affects your lung cells which mutate and form tumors. There are 200,000 cases a year.
Some people can surgically remove the tumor but yours is too big. We can still do chemo, radiation, drug therapy, and immunotherapy.

I'll recommend an oncologist to start treatment right away.
