  • Pinckney's Treaty
  • The Florida border is where MY feet are!
  • Now the Americans will know that Spain is not joking when we say where the border is.
  • This port is closed!
  • NO, it's HERE!
  • America and Spain shall sign this treaty to settle all the arguements we have had.
  • WE WANT OUR LAND BACK!!!!!!!
  • Northwest Territory- conflict with Indians
  • WELL, YOU STOLE OUR LAND SO WE WON'T STOP UNTIL WE GET IT BACK!!!!
  • Well this is a nice area so I'm fine with it.
  • Same.
  • WHY MUST YOU PROTEST AT THIS HOUR?? YOU WOKE MY FAMILY
  • Indeed.
  • So we're settling here in this territory, right?
  • Battle of Fallen Timbers
  • CHARGE!!!!
  • American buisnesses faced problems. The Spanish disputed the border between the U.S. and Florida. Spain also closed the port of New Orleans to the U.S. trade! That was bad because it really hurt the American economy. After a while, Pinckney's Treaty came into plan and it settled the border and trade disputes with Spain.
  • Treaty of Greenville
  • Americans continued to settle in the Northwest Territory which was originally the Indians' land. So, the Indians started to protest which the Americans did not like. All of this leads to our next topic...
  • Whiskey Rebellion
  • The Battle of Timberlands was a battle between the Americans and Indians. General Anythony Wayne led the American troops to a victory, yet the whole conflict was not yet resolved.
  • Washington's Farewell
  • BYE BYE EVERYONE!!!!!!!
  • All of this fighting was enough. That was when the Treaty of Greenville came into plan. From this, they were at peace but the Americans still got land.
  • I hereby declare that the U.S. and Indians shall sign a treaty to resolve all conflict.
  • The Whiskey Rebellion was an uprising of farmers in protest about a tax on Whiskey. After a while, President Washington made a move to make them stop by marching his troops down to the Western Pennsylvania area and scaring the farmers away.
  • NO TAX ON WHISKEY!
  • Americans had seen how amazing George Washington had done as president. They were hoping that he'd serve another term, or even until his death, but Washington sent out a Farewell Address. Washington had finally retired after around 20 years of publicity. In his address, he didn't just say he was retiring, he warned to avoid permanent allies with Foreign nations. Anyways, bye bye George Washington!
