After serving the King of Moab for 18 years, the Israelites called to God. "But when the Israelites cried out to the LORD, he raised up for them a savior, Ehud, son of Gera, a Benjaminite who was left-handed.* The Israelites would send their tribute to Eglon, king of Moab, by him." Judge 3:15.
"Ehud made himself a two-edged dagger a foot long, and strapped it under his clothes on his right thigh." Judge 3: 16.
Ehud encountered the king and talked to him. Then when everyone of the king's sevants left, Ehud went in to him where he sat alone in his cool upper room. Ehud said, “I have a word from God for you.” So the king rose from his throne. Judge 3:20. He then pulled out the dagger and stabbed Eglon in the belly.
Ehud must be resting in the cooling chamber.
He's been in the room for an awfully long time, we should open it.
I agree, I have a key!
Our king is dead! And where is Ehud?!
Ehud and the Israelites went and killed all the Moabs. Now Moab was under the control of Israel, and the land rested for 80 years.
