Odysseus and his men bravely set foot upon the Island of the cyclopes
Odysseus and his men search the island for the inhabitants, the cyclopes, to see if they'd treat them as guests or simply kill them. They do eventually find a cyclops tending to his flock, they silently make his way into the unsuspecting cyclops' home.
After Polyphemus figures out that Odysseus and his men made their way into his cave he talks to them but then after they ask to be treated as guests he denies them and even kills one of Odysseus's crew.
As they don't want to die they devise a plan to escape. They plan to stab him in the eye then camouflage with the sheep to escape.
Their plan succeeds and they successfully escape, though not without Polyphemus noticing.
As Odysseus and his remaining crew make their escape Polyphemus attempts to prevent that by throwing rocks. Though he completely misses as he's blind.
