Storyboard Text

  • I lay down a challenge: if a person here present, within these premises is big or bold or red-blooded enough to strike me one stroke and be struck in return
  • I, Sir Gawain accepts your challenge
  • WHO IS BRAVE ENOUGH TO ACCEPT MY CHALLENGE?
  • One year passes and goes, the end of the challenge approaches
  • It was Christmas in Camlot, everyone was in the court feasting and drinking. All the sudden, a Green giant-like man riding a solid green horse enters and presents a challenge
  • OF COURSE!
  • My Lord, May I lodge in your castle for a few days?
  • At first no one would accept the challenge, then Sir Gawain stepped up. He took the green axe and struck the Green Knight, but the knight did not die. He calmly picked up his head and told Sir Gawain to find him after one years time to finish the challenge.
  • I can't say no.
  • I hunt these animals
  • I want a kiss.
  • we gonna die....
  • All 4 seasons passed by and it was nearly the time for Sir Gawain to keep his word with the Green Knight. He sets off to find his castle, going through tough weather and hard obstacles
  • He asked everyone for any clues that points to where the Green Knight lives, but came up empty. He came upon a castle. There he met the Lord of the Castle and was granted housing for a few days
  • While he was there, the lord and him made a pact that they would give each other what they have gained at the end of the day. This went on for 3 days, Gawain gained kisses and the Lord gained animals. On the last day, Gawain broke the deal and kept a green belt instead of giving it to the Lord
  • After the 3 days are up, the Lord showed Gawain how to get to the Green knight. Now completing the challenge, the knight swings 3 times at Sir  Gawain. The first 2 times he does not hurt Sir Gawain, but the 3rd time he made a small cut. The moral of the story is reveal and Sir Gawain leaves for Camelot in shame.
