  • Lottery Gathering
  • Mr. Summers arrives
  • The Lottery Begins
  • The villagers started gathering for the lottery around 10 O'clock on June 27th. Slowly the villagers stared gathering around staring small talks, while the children stat collecting rocks.
  • Opening of the Lottery
  • Mr. Summers arrives late with the box and placed the box at the center of the square. In between the phenomenon, Tessie Hutchinson arrives somewhat late and joins her family as she had forgotten that today was the day of the lottery.
  • The Hutchinsons
  •  Old man Warner and some of the villagers are having conversation that some towns are giving up the lottery. As the event of lottery takes place, each head of the family comes upfront to the box and draws a slip of paper. 
  • Stonned
  • Let's make it quick
  • Now each head member of the family open the lottery that they had drawn before. Bill Hutchinson gets a paper marked differently than other villagers. 
  • not fair
  • Tessie tries to argue that the lottery was not fair not fair because her husband bill didn't have enough time to select a paper. As Bill says he protests he did have enough time. Now the Hutchinson draw the lottery. 
  • None of the kids nor Bill gets a paper that is marked differently. Tessie gets the paper that has a black dot on it. Mr. summers says every one to hurry up. The villagers grab stone and run towards Tessie as she protests as she gets stoned to death.
