- Summary: In chapter 1 we are in Yanek's town when the Nazis start to invade. In chapter 2 the Jews are stating to not have a s many rights as the other people. In Chapter 3 the jews on the ghetto had to stay there and the Jews outside the ghetto had to be brought in. In chapter 4 Yanek went to his uncle abramhams bread store to help make some bread for his family an dsome more to sell.
- Chapter 9 Yanek gets deported to Plaszow. In chapter 10 YAnek cleans up the ghetto and finds 2000 zloty and gives it to his uncle. In chapter 11 Yanek's uncle buys him food and then dies from Goeth. In chapter 12 Yanek hides under the floor boards if his barrak is almost killed.
- In chapter 13 they got taken down to the mines and yanek saw the lake and all the salt statues. In chapter 14 he gets taken to Trzebinia where they do work to just do work. In capter 15 he is moved in a cattle car and has the worst experience ever and is taken to Birkenau.
