This storyboard shows the relationship between Huck and Jim. They have always known of each other but never really interacted until they ended up on the same island together. Huck was on the island to get away from everyone including his father so he faked his death and decided to live on a deserted island. Later on Jim showed up because he escaped from being a slave, he didn´t want to be sold. Overtime they begin to build a friendly relationship, Jim kind of takes the role of the ¨guardian¨ and he looks out for Huck. They decide to go and explore the island and the waters, they come across a floating house with a dead man inside and money in his pockets. Jim does not let Huck see the dead man because it was too extreme, this shows Jim taking the role of the guardian. As they continue on they come across a boat and get it shipwrecked. Huck tries to go get help for the men inside the boat so he makes up this big story to a man to get the man to help him, but he does not tell the man the whole truth and when Huck gets back to save the men they had already sunk. This related to our theme of humor, this was humorous in the sense that Huck shipwrecked a boat then lied to someone just to get their help to save the people in the boat but then they drown and die. It was ironic that Huck got the men into that trouble and then lied to save them but they ended up dying. After that Huck and Jim find each other again and come across and island with houses.
