  • In 1764, a new tax law for the sugar act was imposed.
  • How do you feel about the sugar act?
  • I absolutely hate the sugar act because they violated our rights!
  •  The British police started to search peoples houses for smuggling and they had a sighned paper called the Writs of assitance.
  • Hey you can`t search my house!
  • Oh yes we can with this sighned paper we can search peoples houses 
  • Everybody gets mad and start to smuggle. Eventually they started to boycott the sugar tax, and this started the Stamp act.
  • "No parts of England's colonies can be taxed without their consent." "Every part has a right to be represented."
