Longhorns were perfectly suited for life in texas.They could endure hot weather as well as cold weather.They could survive on very little water and they ate prickly pear cactus during droughts.There was a common disease called ‘’Texas Fever” and the Longhorn was immune to it.There long legs allowed them to travel long distances and their horns protected them from mountain lions,Wolves,and other predators.
