  • What have you done to my son?!?!
  • The Marquis Runs over and kills the little boy
  • Move out of the way u stupid child!!!
  • Manette in the Bastille
  • 142 North Tower
  • What is your name?
  • Darnay getting arrested in court for being an Evremonde
  • I do not agree with my families ways!
  • You are arrested for being a member of the Evremonde family. Go to jail and serve their sentence.
  • The Marquis killed the little boy in the street. This is a very important scene because this just shows how bad a person he was. He had no respect for anyone else because they didn't have the money that he had. He felt he had the right to throw money at the commoners to keep them from getting angry. He also threatened to kill everyone else when got a coin thrown at him.
  • Madame Defarge sowing peoples names into her quilt
  • Darnay is next to be put away. They should not have killed my siblings.
  • Manette is trapped in 142 north tower. This is because long ago, he committed a crime. He was then taken away from his wife and Lucie. He was kept in jail for many years and forced to make shoes. This took a major tool on him and drove him into insanity. While he was in jail he lost himself and often could not remember his own name.
  • Burning Manette's Shoe making Bench
  • This is for Lucie. You do not want her to worry about you anymore.
  • Darnay is an Evremonde. This is very frowned upon because the Evremondes are part of the aristocracy. The point of the aristocracy is to take people from the aristocracy down. However, Darnay did not agree with is family. This is the reason that he left his family and refused to associate them. The problem is is that no one knew that he left his family.
  • Carton in the guillotine Sacrificing himself
  • I am sacrificing myself for Darnay. I must use my life to help him and Lucie
  • You are not Darnay. Why are you pretending to be him?
  • Madame. Defarge has a strong disdain for the people in Darnay's family. This is because they killed her siblings. This left her with lots of pain and hatred for them. She sewed his name in the quilt because this represents who she wants to take down. Even though she likes Lucie, she does not approve of her husband. She even later tries to get Lucie arrested.
  • Ms. Pross burns Manette's bench that he used for shoe making. She does this because he has a relapse every so often when he becomes stressed. He begins to lose his mind and will start making shoes again for hours. Ms. Pross finally helped him agree to burn the bench for Lucie's sake. He did not want to stress her out anymore. So, the bench and all of his tools were burned.
  • Carton sacrifices himself for Darnay. This is because Carton is a drunk who has no life or aspirations. He happens to look like Darnay so he drugs Darnay before he is going to be killed. He switched clothes with him while he was drugged and pretended to be Darnay. Caton knew that he did not have a life of his own so he felt he must use his own life for good. He also has a certain love for Lucie and wants her to be happy and have a family.
