I am Jesus, who you are persecuting. Now get up and go into the city and you will be told what you must do
Saul, Saul why are you persecuting me?
*The two men who were traveling with him did not see or hear anything. As Saul opens his eyes, he realizes he has lost his sight so the two men assist his, still confused as to what happened*
*The two men holding Saul's hand and leading him to Damascus. Where Saul was unable to see eat or drink for three days.*
Ananias, get up and go to the streetcalled straight and ask at the house of Judas for a man from Tarsus named Saul. He is there praying. [Ananias responds]This man is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before Gentiles, kings, and Israelites, and I will show him what he will have to suffer for my name.
Lord, I have heard what evil things he has done to your holy ones in Jerusalem, and here he has authority from the chief priests to imprison all who call upon your name.
Ananias having a vision with the Lord*Ananias having a vision of the Lord*
*Ananias then visits Saul and lay his hands on him making him able to eat and drink and see again.*
Repent. Love your enemies, God is always with you.
Isn't this the man who in Jerusalem imprisoned those who call upon this name, and came here to take them back in chains to the chief priests?
*Saul's disciples took him one night and let him down through an opening in the wall, lowering him in a basket because the Jews conspired to kill him. *
*When he arrived in Jerusalem he tried to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he was a disciple
Then Barnabas took care of him and brought him to the apostles, and he told them how he had seen the Lord and talked to him on the road, and how he had spoken fearlessly in the name of Jesus at Damascus.
