Bud decides to walk to grand rapids to fin d his father and end up getting a ride from lefty luis.

bud meets Herman E. Calloway and says that he is his father no one bleaves bud but they agree to let him stay and sort everything out.
Bud and herman E calloway realize they are related herman E.calloway discovers he has lost his son.
