Farmer Joe how can I be more energy efficent with my house and my farm
In our house how about we switch out the light bulbs with efficient LED light bulbs
We can make our farm more energy efficient by cleaning our fans which will decrease energy use by 20% which will lower greenhouse gas emissions and save us money
Although LED light bulbs are a bit more expensive then CFL light bulbs over the long run LED light bulbs are more energy efficient and lasts up to 25000 hours while CFL lasts only 8000 hours. Also it uses less electricity and less watts.
Those sound great! Are there any other ways I can save money while saving the enviorment too?
LED Light bulbs are 80% more efficient then regular light bulbs. Only 5% of the light bulb is wasted on heat and 95% is on light. With all this energy being saved it lowers greenhouse gases substantially. The demand for power plants to make energy also goes down.
If we upgrade out water system to a state of the art one it will save us more money in the long run and will use less water for our crops and animals
Cleaning your fans regularly can save up to $1000 a year with your energy bill and make them run a lot smoother and also makes them last longer. This also lowers the amount of animal pollution into the air.
These are great ideas! Thanks so much for these ideas Joe I can not wait to start saving lots of energy!
