After Charles I, Oliver Cromwell take's over England in 1649. He landed on the Irish lands and seized all control over them giving the land to the English soldiers
in camCromwell Ruled till his death in 1658, Charles II came in 1660. It was a joyful time because Charles II restored the monarchy in England. the period of Charles II reign was known as the Restoration. In 1685, Charles II passed and in came James II who violates his subject by showing Catholism.
After James II died, Mary became Queen. Mary and Her Husband William ruled England, cooperating with the Parliament to help with governing. They created the Bill of Rights, a law that limits the Monarch's power. England had not only become Absolute Monarchy but also Constitutional Monarchy. After 1688 the laws stated that no monarch could rule without the consent of the Parliament.
