Storyboard Text

  • No, I don't recall I have. Exactly what is it?
  • Early that morning...
  • We shall go ask the messenger. He will provide us the information.
  • Have you heard the news about the British Parliament appointing the new law? It's called the 'Currency Act'.
  • The act consists of paper money being issued amongst British America. As a way to attempt at solving our nation's debt.
  • Ah, I see. Well, you have probably already heard that the British government were the ones to enforce this law.
  • We would like to know more information on the 'Currency Act'. Could you provide us with some?
  • The morning of September 1, 1764 the public got word of the new law.
  • We have to persuade the parliament to take that new law away.
  • I have an idea...
  • The British Parliament should be the ones paying taxes, and not us.
  • I agree, it is not our fault our country is in debt.
  • Stop enforcing taxes upon us!
  • The angry people banned together to protest against the new law, by standing outside and yelling things out.
  • Enough is enough. It's pure "Taxation without Representation"!
  • Yes, I see
  • We understand you're upset. There are pros to this though. It will get our country out of debt, as well as help us trade with others efficiently.
