The economical implications for this technology are also cost friendly. The per sample cost are at $5 while plant samples cost about $7.50 per a sample.
On a global and political scale DNA barcoding can help us with large scale biodiversity inventories and with the conservation of rare species. While bar coding mosquitoes you can figure out different diseases which can save many lives by figuring out which mosquitoes carry which diseases.
