The narrator remembers a day when her family was in Acapulco, Mexico and took a photo on the beach. This photo is in her father's room, above his bed. She describes her family and how they all look alike.
The narrator isn't in the photo because she was making sand castles on the beach by herself. She realizes that no one will notice she is missing until they look at the photo in a few years and see that she isn't in it.
Uncle Fat Face, Uncle Baby, and Father race their red, green and white cars from Chicago to Mexico City. Their children are in the back seats and they have fun sticking their tongues out at each other as their fathers race.
