Storyboard Text

  • Hannah
  • Hannah and Kate are acquaintances that sit behind one another in English class. Hannah is more of an independent individual while Kate is the polar opposite.
  • What does she want now? I've told her over and over to pay attention when Mr. Smith is talking!
  • Kate
  • Hey, Kate! Are you ready for another great day of learning?
  • The two of them were making small-talk before the tardy bell rang.
  • I guess so. You know I don't really like this class.
  • The bell rang and Hannah began to listen to the teacher lecture. She began to take some notes while Kate was off in a daze.
  • I wonder what I'll have for a snack today after school...
  • Once the teacher stopped talking, Kate came back to reality and noticed that she had missed the lecture. She began tapping on Hannah's back to get the notes.
  • Hannah finally turns around, annoyed at Kate's tapping.
  • What do you need this time, Kate?
  • I'm sorry Hannah, but I didn't get any of the notes that we were just supposed to take. Can I copy yours down?
  • I guess, although I feel like you are using me when you ask for notes because I am known to have good grades and get things done. I need for you to take some responsibility and stay focused during class.
  • I'm really sorry, but sometimes his voice makes me want to not focus!!! I promise that I will try harder to maintain focus throughout this class. Thank you!!!
  • Hannah has to take a deep breath and realize that this is how it will be the rest of the year, regardless of how many times she consults Kate about her lack of focus.
