The important groups of organic chemicals in cells include carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids
All of these groups correspond with each other and help the body function properly. Without them we would't be able to survive
As you can see we are in the kitchen
We are back in the classroom to learn about what carbohydrates really are and what they do for us
A futuristic house in Allendale, California, August 4, 2026. The world is also destroyed.
-Carbohydrates give cells the energy they need.-They also give materials needed to build cell structures and often are stored as reserve energy supplies-Carbohydrates are classified by size-Carbohydrates consist of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen
Point Of View: Third Person OmniscientTone: Sad, then even more sad
Levels of Carbohydrates
The different levels of carbohydrates:1. Monosaccharide: the simple carbohydrates or sugars. They include the five carbon sugars as well as the six carbon sugars
Conflict: Machine vs Nature: House vs Fire
Levels of Carbohydrates continued
I have brought the class here because I know all of you are familiar with things like bread, potatoes, and rice. These are all carbohydrates which we are going to learn about
2. Disaccharides: the simple carbohydrates and sugars. They consist of 6-carbon sugars.3.Polysaccharide: complex carbohydrates; made up of simple carbohydrates linked to form larger molecules of different sizes
