Storyboard Text

  • The town gathered around the black box to begin the drawing of the Lottery. While the kids played with rocks and the adults make small talk.
  • Good day everyone lets start.
  • Names began to be called, the crowd then fell silent. Mr. Graves, Mr. Delacroix, and so on, then the Hutchinson family was called.
  • The Graves, good day sir.
  • Once every family name was called everyone could open up their papers. When it came to the Hutchinson family they found out that they had the paper with the black dot.
  • We got the paper!
  • Tessie then began to argue that it was unfair and that her husband did not have enough time to choose the piece of paper that he wanted. The crowd then began to argue against her saying they all took the same chance.
  • Yeah Tessie, we all took part.
  • We all took the same chance!
  • This is so unfair he did not choose what he wanted!
  • The Hutchinson family then had to redrawn to see who would win the lottery. Tessie then got the marked paper meaning she won.
  • This is unfair! I got the paper!
  • Tessie had "won" the lottery which was not what you think. This meant that the town would stone her to death. And the whole town took a part in the dark fun.
  • Stop! Please stop! AHHHHHH!
