This is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life. I wish mum could see this, she always loved watching the sky.
My name is Elizabeth Henrik, I stowed away onto this ship since my family only had enough money to send my brother Ole, who is very irresponsible. Any who, I am going to america to find some money for my family, we ran out of money after a pack of wolves devoured our entire mink farm, well not the literal farm, they just devoured all the minks.
Since our mink buisness was ruined when the wolves ate our minks and that it was not very great to begin with we could only afford staying in the bottom of the ship. I was exhausted from seasickness and decided to take a long nap.
I was asleep for what seemed like ten hours until Ole woke me up. He said I was asleep for almost two days and that I needed to eat. I followed Ole into the mess hall and I ate like a savage, I ate so much I did not think I had enough room for lunch and dinner.
It was awefully stormy outside the ship and I was extremely nauseous. I was about to vomit but I swallowed it back down, it was aweful. As I was holding back my urge to vomit the captain came in. He said the storm was causing rough waves and it might get shaky on our way to Ellis Island. He was right, the waves were so violent that the entire ship shook and I screamed like a banshee, hoping this nightmare would be over.
The captain came back and said that we had to go to the mess hall to wait out the storm and that we were almost at Ellis Island. I lumbered to the mess hall with Ole, and when we got there I could not believe my eyes. Everyone was there except the helmsman who was trying to steer the ship out of the storm. The room shook and shook and shook and I was so tired and I cannot believe how easy it was to fall asleep.
I woke up an hour later and saw that the storm had cleared and that the mess hall was emty. I went outside and saw a clear, blue sky full of fluffy, white clouds. The captain said that he was glad that I was awake and told me to look through the telescope. I looked through the long tube and I could not believe my eyes. It was our destination. the captain said we would be there in at least an hour. I could not wait to have so many adventures at Ellis Island.
