My personal definition of a hero is someone who does not ever back down when faced with adversity, is selfless, and will do whatever it takes to accomplish what they think will help improve the society they live in.
Some of my personal heroes include Juju Smith-Schuster, Michael Jordan, and Iron Man
I, Odysseus, think that I am a hero partly because of my great intelligence. I displayed this when I came up with the plan to construct a giant wooden horse that won the Battle of Troy. This shows that I am very intelligent because the average person would have never thought of something as brilliant as my plan, and my plan was proved brilliant when my men and I executed it to perfection with no problems.
Another reason why I am a hero is because of my great leadership. I displayed this when I went to go regain my men that did not want to come back from the Lotus Eaters island because they were not being loyal to their homeland. This shows leadership because I was able to make the right decision to make them come home with us no matter what, because if they didn't it would have been against our morals.
One last part of what makes me a hero is my loyalty to my homeland, and my willingness to do whatever it takes to accomplish what is right. I displayed this when I took out all of the 100 suitors that I found in my house when I returned back to home. This shows that I am willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish what is right because they had very bad hospitality, so I had to give them what they deserved for disrespecting my family and my home.
Well, I have to admit, even though I view Odysseus as a hero he did make some decisions along his journey that weren't the smartest. For example, he definitely should have just sailed away without yelling back at the Cyclops, which just caused lots of unnecessary problems. But in the end, we all make mistakes and fortunately for Odysseus he also did lots of great things along his journey and was able to stay loyal to his homeland, this is why I view Odysseus as a hero.
