George is gonna be so mad..... Not gonna let me tend to the rabbits
We start off the storyboard with Lennie, Curley's Wife, and a dead puppy all in the barn. Lennis is crying and upset, and Curley's Wife is mourning the dead puppy, while comforting Lennie. There's a stack of hay on which Lennie sits. We can see a table in the back and a blue sky outside.
Here, Lennie snaps Curley's Wife's neck in the stable. This action is followed by a scream and a loud 'SNAP'. After killing the woman, Lennie becomes afraid and steals a gun, planning to run away. He forgets all about the puppy and is soon on his way.
Here, we can see Lennie feeling after hes done a bad thing.. He's running across the fields away from the ranch. He's thinking to himself how mad George will be at him, and thinking about the rabbits. He realizes his incentive to tend to the rabbits is foiled because of what he's done.
In this segment, Candy, Curley Slim, and George all find Curley's spouses body. George is standing there with an emotionless expression. This is partly because he's already seen her, and he knows that Lennie was the one who did it. Curley seems the most surprised by this, but he soon becomes mad and out for revenge. Carlson later realises that his Luger is missing.
Curley decides to lead a group of men to hunt down Lennie on horseback. By putting Curley on the rearing horse, it puts more attention on his character and stresses that he's the main focus in this scene. This is the same path Lennie was just on, which means they are close behind. George is on his own running to find Lennie before the men can.
Finally, George finds Lennie, but has to make the tragic choice to end his life, instead of Curley. There is a numb look on his face, in contrast to Lennie, who looks delighted and happy to be with his best friend. The picture is scaled in a way that shows Lennie's size compared to George, and how he is much larger. They are seen at a bank in which Lennie has chosen to hide.
