  • CROSS AT REDSEA. THEN RIGHT AT MOUNT SINAI. WE ARE ALMOST AT OUR DESTINATION!
  • The story of the Patriarchs talk about the special relationship between God and the chosen people. This covenant begins with Abraham Issac and Jacob. In a historical sense a Patriarch is the the male leader of a tribe and is responsible for their survival.
  • This land is inhabited  by other people and the Israelites must gain control,  while new invaders try to gain control of the Promised Land.
  • Saul was the first King but wasn't in position for that long. After Saul died David took his place because the people of Israel chose him. David was considered to be one of the best Kings. After David died his son Solomon took his place. Solomon was not a religious King and worshiped things like money.
  • Greek Empire-After the death of Alexander the Great the land he conquered was divided. 100 years after his death most of Ancient palestine was ruled by the General, and because of the distance between Egypt and Palestine the Greek Power rarely interfered.
  • Jewish Independence-A group of rebel Jews (known as the Zealots wanted to help the Jews become independent and break away from the Greek rule.
  • The Jews had freedom for 100 hundred years before the Roman Empire took over. They chose a Jew to rule of the Israelite people; Hared.
