  • The exposition is telling us that Laurie´s mother is introducing her son which is in kindergarten. This is the exposition because in the text it states,¨The day my son Laurie started kindergarten he renounced corduroy overalls with bibs and began wearing blue jeans with a belt.¨ 
  • Falling Action
  • The rising action is telling us that Laurie is telling us that Charles is being awfully fresh to the teacher. This is the rising action because in the text it states,¨The next day Laurie remarked at lunch, as soon as he sat down,¨Well, Charles was bad again today.¨
  • Resolution
  • The climax is telling us that Laurie was telling a little girl to say something bad, kicking the teacher´s friend, and throwing crayons. This is the climax because in the text it states,¨He told a little girl to say a word and she said it and the teacher washed her mouth out with soap and Charles laughed.¨

  • The falling action is telling us that Laurie was passing out crayons. This is the rising action because in the text it states,¨He was passing out the crayons.¨
