This job is so tiring, I think I need to stop soon, it doesn't even pay much.
My Job as a mechanic is important, but it barely gives enough to pay rent and eat, I just want to give up sometimes.
This relates to the real world where people had a similar hard blue collar/hands-on jobs that don't pay much. Also because they are not rich, but they are not poor either. One reason this is so is that just to start mining gold, it cost way too much because of all of the products they needed to mine. They had to buy wagons, glass, pickaxe and had to have a paid crew as well. Another reason why they are similar is that they both don't have outstandingly amazing homes and can be desperate for money. Many people are under the stereotype that all gold miners became extremely rich, that is the complete opposite. In fact a lot of people were at a deficit when it came to mining gold.
