The scientific revolution was the a series of things that evolved modern science into mathematics, biology, astronomy, physics, and chemistry altered the views of society about nature. Also in this time the telescope and microscope were invented. The scientists behind all of these changes included William Harvey, Issac Newton, Francis Bacon, and Johannes Kepler.
European politics, philosophy, science and communications were incredibly changed from 1685 to 1815. During the enlightenment John Locke questions the opinions of authority (setting up the enlightenment), a philosopher named Voltaire was put in jail for writing books against religious intolerance, Montesquieu split the government into 3 sections so they could not become too powerful, and Rousseau disagreed with absolute monarchs power.
