Philip has been training really hard for track. He has got into the best shape he could be in. In this picture, he thinking about track and how to get better. Coach Jamison talked to him a couple of days ago and told him that he hopes he's trying out for track because his PE teacher told him that Philip's very good.

Since Philip never really liked Miss. Narwin he decided to break one of the rules that she enforced strictly. He did not believe he would get in trouble.
Philip and Miss. Narwin gets letters
After Philip acted out in Miss Narwin's class that for the third resulting in a suspension for "two infractions in a week." This shows Mr. Palleni is informing Philip of his two day suspension and why he got it. Philip still tends to think it's because he was singing the national anthem.

Mr. Griffen had Philip tell a reporter named Ms. Stewart his story, so she could write about it in the newspaper. Philip thought this would be no big deal because he figured it wouldn't be published anywhere. Instead it was published in his local newspaper and in under 24 hours it became nationwide news.
